Terms and Conditions

By placing a booking with In My House Baleal you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 

During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking.

 

The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third-party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.

 

To secure any booking a 40% deposit of the total reservation value is requested for booking confirmation. The remaining total payment must be settled at the check in date.

 

All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbors and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honoring this agreement or causing a disturbance to other guests, neighbors or the owners.

 

Check-in & Check-out

 

Check-in from 15:00 pm to 22:00 pm (for late check in we will provide a code to enter the house)
Check-out by 12:00 am on day of departure

 

Cancellation, Returned Deposit & Non-Arrival Conditions

 

In My House Baleal reserves the right to cancel any reservation in which case a full refund will be made. Guest who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible.

 

Deposits already paid are only returned in accordance with the following conditions:

 

Cancellation made 30 days or more in advance of arrival date = Full deposit refund
Cancellation made 29 days or less of arrival date = 50% of deposit refund
Cancellation made 15 days or less of arrival date = No refund issued, full amount of booking due

In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

 

Full House Reservation

 

50 % deposit of the total value of the booking needs to be paid to confirm the reservation. Latest 5 days after the booking.

The remaining 50% needs to be paid latest 30 days before arrival date, if not In My House Baleal will cancel the reservation.

If the customer cancels the reservation more than 30 days prior to check in date In My House Baleal will refund the full value of the 50 % deposit paid by the customer.

If the customer cancels the reservation within 30 days prior to the check in date no refund will be made by In My House Baleal.

A deposit of 30 EUR per person is required on arrival, this will be returned providing no damage has been caused.
The house should be cleaned before you leave, otherwise you may be charged extra to cover cleaning services.

 

No-Show or early departure

 

In case of no-show or early departure, the full amount of the reservation will be charged.

 

Equipment Rental

 

When In My House Baleal supplies equipment to any Customer for activities In My House Baleal guarantee that the equipment is in good condition. The Customer is responsible for the equipment provided by In My House Baleal and should deliver the equipment in the same conditions. The customer will be charged in case of damaged or lost equipment.

In My House Baleal owns bikes, skateboards, that can be used by the guests, subject to availability. However, In My House Baleal does not assure full availability for all the guests.

 

In My House Baleal also has surfboards and wetsuits to rent. However, it can only be rentable by advanced surfers.

 

Equipment for rental does not include insurance. Upon rental of material, the guest becomes responsible for it. In case of damage or loss, repair or replacement of material, it will be charged to the guest.

 

For any rent, the guest must sign a term of responsibility and is obliged to pay for any personal accident or damages against others.

 

Guests must always use the equipment considering its purpose and are responsible for keeping its safety and conservation.

 

The guest must return the rented equipment as soon as the rental period expires.

 

If the guest returns the equipment after the rental expiration period, an extra use fee will be charged.

 

If the guest returns the equipment before the rental expiration period, a reimbursement will not be given.

 

The non-return of rented equipment will be notified and shall be subject to a criminal claim for theft against the practice of civil liability of the contract between the parties.

 

In case of theft, the guest must immediately present a criminal claim and is responsible for the payment of the equipment value.

 

In My House Baleal has the right to decline rentals to any guest under the influence of alcohol or other addictive substances.

 

In My House Baleal has the right to decline the rental of Surf and SUP material to any guest with a beginner or intermediate levels, to ensure its own safety, such as the safety of passers-by, other surfers and sunbathers.

 

The guest is responsible for his/her own insurance to cover personal and third-party accidents that may occur during the use of the rented equipment. Therefore, all the responsibility relies on the guest.

 

For cases not covered by these rules, the current Portuguese law is applicable.

 

If you travel with your own surf equipment, it should be stored in the apposite area. Dripping wetsuits and surfboards are only allowed in the apposite area. No wetsuits are allowed to be hanging on the room’s balcony.

The Customer acknowledges and agrees that In My House Baleal has no control of the weather conditions. If the weather/ocean conditions do not allow us to give the activity booked, they will be rescheduled on another day. If In My House Baleal is not able to provide you all your prepaid activities during your stay due to lack of weather/ocean conditions, In My House Baleal will not refund the value of the activities that were not provided,  In this case In My House Baleal is able to offer a voucher of the same amount that can be used within 12 months from the date of departure.

 

Wi-Fi Fair & Appropriate Usage Policy

 

Where Wi-Fi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately.

 

Damages & Lost Property

 

We reserve the right to charge guests for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimize damage and associated costs. Lost will incur a replacement charge per key. Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners, we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out.

 

Smoking

Smoking is only allowed in designated areas as sign posted throughout the accommodation and is in accordance with the Health Act 2006.

 

Pets

We do not accept pets throughout the accommodation.

 

Parking

Where parking is provided outside the house, guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk.

 

Your Personal Details & Privacy

 

We are required to keep a register of guests over the age of 16 who stay with us, this includes full names and nationality, and/or passport numbers, place of issue. This is in accordance with the (Immigration (Hotel records) Order 1972). These records are kept for a minimum of 12 months and in accordance with the DPA (Data Protection Act 1998) and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation 2018). Our policy surrounding the personal details you provide as part of any booking or enquiry through this website/or third party website, including the privacy of those details are explained and set out in our Privacy Policy which you can read here.

You accept that any entries you make to an on-site guest book, if available, will not contain personal information or details you would not want disclosed. Any entries containing personal details that may fall into the DPA and GDPR may be removed and destroyed.

 

Our Right To Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.
